A live edge table is a type of table where the natural edge of the wood is left intact, rather than being squared off or finished in a straight line. This style showcases the raw, organic beauty of the wood, emphasizing its natural grain, curves, and imperfections, such as knots or burls, which add character and uniqueness to the piece.
This beautiful handmade oak table has been crafted to combine the beauty of nature with the skills of the modern day furniture maker.
The top is 45mm thick handmade from the finest English oak, the edges have been left in it’s natural form creating a stunning visual delight.
The base has a combination of vertical stop chamfered pillars seated on the gently curved supports, we have used two different oils to finish the surface of the timber which creates a nice contrast in colours. The base has a clear satin hardwax oil and the table top has been finished in a raw transparent oil which retains the nature tones of the beautiful English oak.
