A beautiful simple Japanese interpretation of the Windsor chair. Designed by Koji Katsuragi and handmade for Steve in English ash and English Elm by English based Sitting Firm Chairmakers. With its outstanding detailing, balance of form and comfort this already feels like a modern classic.

A Bosbury Side Chair is a traditional style of dining chair that pays homage to historic English church seating designs. The chair features clean, vertical lines and is characterized by its distinctive back design, which typically includes a series of closely-spaced vertical slats or spindles arranged between top and bottom rails. These slats are often slightly curved or shaped for improved comfort.

What makes the Bosbury distinct from other slat-back chairs is its ecclesiastical influence – the design echoes the simple, dignified style of church seating from medieval English parishes, particularly those found in regions like Herefordshire where the village of Bosbury is located.
