For this classic pillar table with Gothic references, Steve has used a combination of new and reclaimed English oak. The oak he has used on the base is actually old fence posts which had been in the ground for decades. If oak is left to season naturally it becomes incredibly hard and dense, the colour of old seasoned oak is also without question the best.
