This contemporary round pedestal table is handmade in English ash with an oil finish. One of the big advantages of this particular style is that it has a small footprint thanks to the architectural looking single column support and feet. With a diameter of 800mm you can sit two people very comfortably, as well as fitting in four if you’re feeling friendly!
This table was originally created for the tea room at Gilbert White’s House Museum in Selborne. It could also look great with a painted base or top to compliment the colours of a kitchen for example.
A pedestal table is a type of table that features a single central support or “pedestal” rather than four separate legs. This pedestal is typically a column, post, or base that extends from the center of the table to the floor. Pedestal tables often have a round or oval tabletop, but can come in various shapes and sizes. The central support provides more legroom, as it eliminates the need for corner legs, and it can create a sleek, elegant look.
