This contemporary style handmade trestle table has been created using English oak. Historically, the trestle has been used in heraldry as it was symbolically associated with hospitality, being used both as a stool and to support tables at banquets. Here the painted trestle base compliments nicely with the deep honey coloured table top. The client chose a Farrow & Ball paint colour but you can choose whatever brand and colour of paint that you would like to fit with your own colour scheme.
A trestle table is a type of table that features a unique support structure consisting of two or more trestles (A-shaped or T-shaped frames), which support the tabletop. The design allows for more flexibility in terms of seating, as the lack of traditional legs in the middle of the table creates more legroom and makes it easier to accommodate more people around the table.
