The tapered legs of this classic French style handmade table give it a simple elegance. “Pieds effilee” was originally a common style in the 1800s and continues to be popular to the current day. This table is made in English brown oak with an oil finish. English brown oak is unique to the British Isles. It takes its colour from a fungus that causes the wood to assume a chocolate brown hue which appears as streaks rising up from the base of the tree and tapering out further up the trunk.
