This elegant handmade oak table is based on the classic farmhouse tables of France, with slim drawers and a slender top. The tapered leg although very traditional makes this table a very versatile design. It would easily look at home in either a country house or a modern contemporary home. This particular table has been created using the finest English pippy oak. Pippy oak gets its name because of the frequent small knots and knot clusters that pepper the board. The grain moves around the knots creating beautiful wild patterns.
