This table is probably one of Steve’s favourites, he salvaged the timber from a 200 year old barn. The oak timber was stunningly beautiful. The trestle table is one of the earliest forms of furniture ever made and it’s versatility makes it a popular choice with customers. As there are no legs in the corners, this creates more space for chairs or benches, hence the ability to seat more people.
A traditional trestle table is a type of table commonly used in earlier centuries, particularly in Europe, characterized by a simple yet sturdy design. The table features a long, flat surface supported by two trestle-style legs (often shaped like an “A” or “H” with horizontal beams). This design allows the table to be easily disassembled, making it versatile and practical for a variety of uses.
