A live edge table is a type of table that features the natural, unrefined edge of the wood, preserving the shape and contours of the tree as it was cut. Rather than having straight, uniformly cut edges, a live edge table displays the raw, organic outline of the tree’s bark, with its natural imperfections, curves, and edges left intact. This design highlights the beauty of the wood in its most natural form, making each table unique.

What makes this particular table a little unusual is that Steve was asked to give it a more personal touch. You can see the names of the client’s grandchildren carefully carved into the underside of the table.
